What is Apeel? Apeel is a post harvest spray applied to increase shelf life of produce like apples and avocados made of mono and diglycerides.

What are Mono and Diglycerides?
They can be a byproduct of oil processing and may contain trans fats, which have been linked to increased risks of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Additionally, some studies have suggested potential associations between higher intakes of mono- and diglycerides and increased risks of cardiovascular disease and certain cancers. Note: Watch for this when reading all of your labels! They put this tons of products like bread!

That’s a hard no for me. But it’s applied to the vast majority of apples you buy, and that other products like Apple Cider Vinegar are made with.

However making your own apple scrap vinegar at home is easy and extremely inexpensive (basically free). I have a full post about it on my website and there is also a highlight in my bio where I am taking you through my process as it progresses!

Sunflowers are actually my favorite flower, but it took me 5 years of trying before I actually grew one due to multiple unfortunate events including pests eating them. One year I planted them all along our pasture fence line and right before they bloomed, one of the horses ate the tops off of each one 🫣 I may or may not have cried. But I have been growing them successfully for the last 5 years and every year I add new varieties and learn more about them 🫶
